Fieldwork
Research done by living among the people being studied, watching, listening and taking part in daily life.
Presented by ClearTrust Free for classrooms, newsrooms and the curious.
Fieldwork is the main method of anthropology. The researcher spends months or years in a community instead of relying on reports from others. Today it requires the community's informed consent, and many communities set their own rules for researchers.
